Benign Anal Conditions

Single or multiple skin tags around the anal margin.

Will not be routinely commissioned.
Where exceptional clinical indications exist (e.g. intractable pruritus ani), referral to the CCG Individual Funding Request Panel is advised.
This does not restrict referral to secondary care for a surgical opinion where there is diagnostic uncertainty.

Exclude Red Flag Symptoms
Ulcerative lesions around the perianal margin- consider 2WW referral

Reassurance, wet wipes post defecation and advice on keeping bowels soft should suffice.
