Governing body meetings

Our Governing Body is responsible for monitoring the performance and quality improvement of our healthcare providers, our five year integrated operational strategy and approving our commissioning and engagement plans.

The Governing Body meets to review progress and agree actions around specific pieces of work. It ensures that we uphold good governance measures and stay true to our commitment to engage and involve local patients, their carers, the public and other stakeholders.

Prior to the start of the public meetings there is a period of up to 20 minutes for members of the public who have registered in advance to raise a matter or ask a question. A maximum of three minutes per person will be allocated to do this.

To participate, please submit your question or matter in writing no later than 5pm on the Monday previous to the meeting. We require questions to be submitted in advance to ensure that they relate to the business being discussed and so that members can provide focused and informative answers.

Questions should relate to items on the agenda and should not require the discussion of information of a confidential nature. The CCG is unable to provide answers to questions on an individual's healthcare, and where such questions are submitted the individual will be provided with details on how to take this forward.

If a question is long and/or complex it may require a response in writing, which will be provided by the CCG in a timely manner. Where possible answers to questions will be noted in the minutes of the meeting.
