Health Inequality top of the agenda at Protected Learning Time

Local GPs and primary care staff are continuing with their programme of peer-led development at this month's 'Protected Learning Time' an event designed by NHS Vale of York Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) which aims to provide professional learning and development opportunities for primary care based staff.

Hosted virtually, the event will look at the knowledge and resources needed to support GPs and healthcare professionals to think about the lasting impact of long Covid, new weight management pathways for patients as well as discussions about diabetes. Delegates will also hear from Refugee Action, learn about the hidden army of unpaid carers and much more.

The event takes place on Tuesday 5 October 2021 and to ensure that local patients continue to receive the care they need from their local practice, the local Out of Hours GP provider, will be supplying clinical cover from 12:30pm to 6pm to those practices that choose to take up this learning and development. Patients can call 01904 646898 if they need urgent help during the afternoon.
