Clinical Commissioning Group meeting to take place in York

Doctors and health managers from across the Vale of York will meet next week to discuss a range of health issues including the North Yorkshire Carers Strategy and the recent North Yorkshire and York Clinical Services Review.

NHS Vale of York Clinical Commissioning Group’s Shadow Governing Body will meet at 10am on Thursday 7 February 2013 in the Denham Room of the city’s Priory Street Centre (15 Priory Street, York, YO1 6ET).

Whilst currently operating in shadow form, the CCG will become a statutory NHS body in April this year when it will take over formal commissioning responsibilities for a range of health services, including mental health and hospital care, from the existing Primary Care Trust.

The meeting is open to the public, and each Shadow Governing Body meeting includes a Q&A session at the beginning for members of the public to ask questions of the CCG’s management team. Questions should be submitted in advance by emailing details to michele.saidman@nyypct.nhs.uk  by 5pm on Monday 4 February 2013.

The meeting agenda and set of supporting papers are now available on the CCG’s website under ‘About Us’ at http://www.valeofyorkccg.nhs.uk/about-us/
