Clinical Commissioning Group meeting to take place in Pocklington

Doctors and health managers from across the Vale of York will meet next week to discuss a range of issues including local healthcare performance and plans for 2013/14.

NHS Vale of York Clinical Commissioning Group’s Shadow Governing Body will meet at 10am on Thursday 7 March 2013 at Pocklington Arts Centre (22-24 Market Place, Pocklington, York YO42 2AR).

Whilst currently operating in shadow form, the CCG will become a statutory NHS body in April this year when it will take over formal commissioning responsibilities for a range of health services, including mental health and hospital care, from the existing Primary Care Trust.

The meeting is open to the public, and each Shadow Governing Body meeting includes a Q&A session at the beginning for members of the public to ask questions of the CCG’s management team. Questions should be submitted in advance by emailing details to michele.saidman@nyypct.nhs.uk  by 5pm on Monday 4 March 2013.

The meeting agenda and set of supporting papers are now available on the CCG’s website under ‘About Us’ at www.valeofyorkccg.nhs.uk
