CCG 'Thank you' video

It’s Thursday which means we will be at our front doors at 8pm to applaud the work of our NHS staff and key workers.

To demonstrate how much we value the wonderful people on the front line, we have created a short video of CCG staff and their families saying 'Thank you' to the NHS, key workers, Vale of York partners and other CCG colleagues.

Throughout the Coronavirus pandemic the CCG has continued to work closely with its NHS partners, local authorities, Healthwatch and the voluntary sector to ensure services can continue safely whilst the NHS is protected, and lives can be saved.

In the video launched on the CCG’s website and social media channels today, 20 members of staff, 3 children and 1 dog pay tribute to their front line colleagues and health partners by saying ‘Thank you’, accompanied with street signs and rainbows.

Phil Mettam, the CCG’s Accountable officer said: “Our own staff and those of our health partners are all doing an extraordinary job, each facing different pressures, yet still continue to work hard and support people during the coronavirus pandemic. They are amazing and doing themselves and the Vale of York community proud.”

Due to Covid-19 restrictions most CCG staff are working from home, with others on the supporting the functioning of front line services.

Dr Nigel Wells, the CCG’s Clinical Chair said: “Everyone has been supporting the national applause on Thursdays at 8pm, and this was an extra ‘Thank you’ that staff wanted to do to show their appreciation.”

The video is also on the CCG's Twitter channel: https://twitter.com/ValeofYorkCCG & YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/1wvEPS3W9mY
