CCG calls for community to get involved online on 9 July

Expanding the reach and impact of its conversations with the local community, NHS Vale of York Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is making its engagement events and involvement opportunities available online.

The first online event is a webcast of the CCG’s Public and Patient Engagement  (PPE) Forum that takes place at 6pm on Wednesday 9 July 2014 at Friargate Meeting House in York.

Rachel Potts, the CCG’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “Social and digital media are transforming the consultation landscape, providing new ways of engaging, listening, and analysing opinion.

“Social and digital media are clearly here to stay. We are embracing it and ensuring that it is integrated with all forms of our engagement and consultation.

“By harnessing new media we aim to reach a wider audience that includes younger people and those who are not able to make it to the event’s venue.”

The PPE forum on the 9 July is focusing upon local Urgent Care services. Members of the community who are unable to make it to the event at the Friargate Meeting Hall are encouraged to view the meeting online at www.ustream.tv/channel/vale-of-york-ccg-ppe-forum and join the conversation via Twitter using the hashtag #mylifemyhealthmyway.

There is still time to reserve a place at the PPE Forum – email events.valeofyork@nhs.net or phone 01904 555 870.
