An invitation to hear about future healthcare plans

Patients and members of the public are invited to the CCG's Annual General Meeting to hear an overview of the organisation's first year and receive an update on plans for the next five years.

Dr Mark Hayes, the CCG's Chief Clinical Officer said: “Against the backdrop of the future changes to health and social care, we are beginning to develop our future plans with partners.

“The future transformation of services will place patients at the centre of their own care and support and we want to create forward thinking, innovative solutions which will help to meet the challenges; and opportunities, that the new way of working gives us.

“Our aim is to improve outcomes for patients; and as we are fully committed to engaging with our local communities. We want to share our plans with as many people in the Vale of York as possible and I encourage the community to attend our AGM.”

The formal meeting, from 2-3pm includes a presentation from members of the Governing Body which will reflect on the progress that has been made during the CCG’s first year as the lead commissioner for health services across the area.

The AGM will also look to the future, focusing on the CCG’s five year strategic plan and highlight some of the key initiatives the CCG will be implementing to further improve and develop local health services.

Members of the community that cannot make the meeting still have time to submit a question to the Governing Body. Questions can be submitted in advance up to 5pm on Monday 15 September to valeofyork.contactus@nhs.net
