Partners in Care- COVID-19 Response ECHO Network

PIC-ECHO

We are inviting all Vale of York care homes and domiciliary providers to join our online Partners in Care support programme whilst we assist you in caring for people during these unprecedented times. Through a partnership with the Project ECHO team from St Leonards Hospice, we are able to offer video conferencing information, best practice and guidance and peer support to care providers in our area.

Project ECHO is digital model of learning to facilitate peer support and sharing of knowledge between health professionals, more information on this can be found through this flyer. ECHO uses the Zoom online platform, which require Wi-Fi access through a computer, smart phone or tablet.

These sessions  take place every Thursday from 14:00 and  last up to an hour. The sessions will continue to update on the latest guidance, and provide an opportunity for questions and peer support for fellow care sector managers. Representatives from the CCG, CQC, local authority, medicines management and Infection Prevention Control among other organisations are represented on the call to answer questions.

Details of future sessions and topics and resources discussed at previous sessions can be found below. The network is based on feedback from members and future topics are chosen based on conversations within the calls.

A summary Partners in Care Lessons Learnt Bulletin has been created that has summarised feedback from care providers represented on the group who have experienced COVID-19 within their care setting. This a resource to assist all other providers in managing outbreaks within their setting.

To express an interest in joining this network, please contact Chris Charters through projectECHOteam@stleonardshospice.nhs.uk or by calling 07741 734659
