Partners in Care- COVID-19 Response ECHO Network

PIC-ECHO

We are inviting all Vale of York care homes and domiciliary providers to join our online Partners in Care support programme whilst we assist you in caring for people during these unprecedented times. Through a partnership with the Project ECHO team from St Leonards Hospice, we are able to offer video conferencing information, best practice and guidance and peer support to care providers in our area.

Project ECHO is digital model of learning to facilitate peer support and sharing of knowledge between health professionals, more information on this can be found through this flyer. ECHO uses the Zoom online platform, which require Wi-Fi access through a computer, smart phone or tablet.

These sessions will take place every Monday and Thursday from 14:00 and will last up to an hour. The first two sessions have covered the latest guidance around PPE, how to best use NHS Mail and the Care Home Capacity Tracker and how to support staff at this difficult time. The sessions will continue to update on the latest guidance, and provide an opportunity for questions and Q&A. Topics that have been requested to cover at future sessions include  that the group have requested to update on at future sessions include around advance care planning, managing residents with dementia, palliative care and changes to verification of death.

Recordings from the sessions and resources shown will be shared for those who have been unable to attend.
