In the UK, low levels of physical activity are responsible for:

1 in 6 deaths (equal to smoking)

Up to 40% of many long-term conditions (e.g.diabetes)

£7.4bn annual costs, including £0.9nb to the NHS

District Nursing teams and Priory Medical Group are already using ONPOS. ONPOS is used by several CCGs in England and Health boards in Wales.

The benefits are as follows:

  • Patients receive the right products in a timely manner
  • Reduces wastage and eliminates incorrect prescriptions being dispensed
  • Saves nursing and administrative time
  • Improves patient care and experience
  • Offers protection from illegal practices
  • Allows immediate access to a stock
  • All stock is legally held and can be used for any patient
  • Establishes a standardised approach to wound care product use
  • Environmental benefits from using less paper

Jamal Hussain and Sarah Goode are visiting practice nurses at surgeries to discuss this further. If you do not yet have a meeting planned with us, please get in contact with or
