EVENT - 19 March - Local NHS invites public to get involved in shaping local health services

Vale of York CCG Public Meeting - Tuesday 19th March 2013, 3:00pm – 5:00pm
Clements Hall, Nunthorpe Road, York YO23 1BW

NHS Vale of York Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the new clinically-led organisation responsible for identifying and buying health services in the area, is inviting members of the public to attend an event and input into the future vision for healthcare services in the Vale of York.

The event will take place at 3pm on Tuesday 19th March at Clements Hall, Nunthorpe Road, York YO23 1BW.

At the event, the CCG will present its vision for improving healthcare in the area and will be asking members of the public to work with the CCG in developing plans for the future.

Dr Mark Hayes, Chief Clinical Officer at NHS Vale of York CCG said: “We know the NHS is facing significant national and local pressures, including a growing ageing population, more people living longer with long term conditions and an increased demand on services.

“We are developing our future plans against this backdrop and we want to consider forward thinking and innovative solutions to meet these extra demands and to improve outcomes for patients.

“We are fully committed to engaging with our local communities and this event will be the first step to encouraging people in our area to participate in our future decision making.”
