Date set for next Vale of York CCG Governing Body meeting

The next Governing Body meeting for NHS Vale of York Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) will take place on Thursday 2 April at 10am at West Offices, Station Rise, York Y01 6GA.

The meeting, which is open to members of the public to observe, will hear reports about the progress of specific initiatives being led by the CCG as well as information about finance and performance.

Rachel Potts, Chief Operating Officer of the CCG, said: “Governing Body meetings are an opportunity for local people to come along and find out about what’s going on in their local NHS and hear about how we’re improving care for patients.

“We have ‘transparency’ as one of our core values, and we believe it’s important that people have the chance to hear our discussions and observe how decisions are made about the health services they access.”

The meeting will also be Keith Ramsay’s (pictured right) first as newly appointed Lay Chairperson for Vale of York CCG’s Governing Body.

Talking about taking up the seat as Lay Chair, Keith Ramsey said: “I am honoured to take on the role of Lay Chair.

“I have had the opportunity to meet with many CCG staff members and it is clear there is a commitment to deliver the local vision of the best in health and wellbeing for everyone.

“I will be working closely with the Executive Team and Governing Body members to build upon this work and create even more platforms for open, honest conversations about local health and care services with the community.

“As the Governing Body lead for Public and Patient Engagement, I will reach out to the Vale of York community to collect their views and ensure that work continues to use to help shape decisions about local health and care services.” (Photo: Keith Ramsay, Lay Chair)

If you would like to submit an item or question to the Governing Body, please phone 01904 555 870 or email michelesaidman@nhs.net by 5pm on Monday 30 March.

The agenda and relevant papers will be available to view on the CCG website by 5pm on Thursday 26 March.
